The poster will talk about our library's Literary Thursdays. This popular program started during the pandemic as a virtual session. Three years later,, it is still going strong, and we interview an author every week! We discuss the logistics and experiences of making this program happen, including engaging with staff to host, contacting publishers and authors, and some behind the scenes tricks of the trade! Working with authors is really an amazing experience, and so many authors are happy to work with the library for free because of all the good will! Will also discuss booking authors to reflect ongoing events and holidays, such as Black History Month and Women's History Month. Participants in this session will come away feeling happy and empowered to learn how easy it is to make a virtual author interview program, as well as learning how to use the technology to make it happen, and how to promote the program, and to be able to do it all for free!!!
