"MODI”is a heritage script used to write Marathi language in the state of Maharashtra of Western India.This poster presents contribution in helping the community for preserving the script and to facilitate the collection, preservation, analysis and digitization of “MODI" script. “MODI" was invented as a Cursive shorthand script for Swift writing in business and administration.Collection of “MODI"manuscript are available in different libraries from India.History of Maratha empire of 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ unfolds thoughts and reflects social,political and cultural history of ancient era. It is very important for historians, researchers and students to understand importance of this Script and use it for historical heritage. Heritage should be preserved and carried forward to our society. Poster includes collection of “MODI"scripts focusing on ancient Indian culture from different parts of India. There are numerous modifications in writing ”MODI" script which reflects it’s history. It has 46 distinctive letters of which 36 are consonants and 10 vowels. Script renders behaviour and orthography of ancient time. Poster include collection and translation of “MODI" manuscripts preserved in our library. We need to focus on digitization of manuscripts. This script will be helpful for the society and new generation to understand the culture, thoughts and behaviour structure of Ancient India.
