Suzan Alteri is the Librarian for the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children's Literature at California State University Fresno. The Center is one of the leading repositories of children's and young adult literature in the United States. She is co-chair of the Office of Diversity, Literacy, and Outreach Services (ODLOS) Advisory and also serves on the Rise: A Feminist Book Project committee. She has published in Education Libraries, Digital Humanities Quarterly, and the Journal of Interactive Teaching and Pedagogy. Alteri is also a member of the Community of Practice Advisory Group for the Diverse BookFinder. Her current research interest focuses on reader responses to Indigenous authored picture books.
