Kristin Lansdown is the Librarian and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) Coordinator for the DePaul University Library, where she serves on the Library Administrative Team. In her role, she is an advocate for staff needs, performs outreach, engagement, and programming in collaboration with student support services, and overall works to improve the library's collections, policies, and practices with an eye toward IDEA. Kristin graduated from DePaul University with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies in 2014, and her Master's of Education in Counseling in 2017. She then went on to obtain her Master's of Science in Library and Information Science, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019 through the LEEP program. Her professional interests include Black Feminist Practice in librarianship, Trauma-Informed Librarianship, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, student outreach and engagement, and exploring how the academic library can impact student success, increase graduation rates, and promote retention for marginalized student populations. Kristin is a member of the American Library Association (ALA), Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).
