A trauma informed approach is underscored by 6 principles: safety, trustworthiness and transparency, peer support, collaboration and mutuality, empowerment and choice, and cultural, historical and gender issues. How do we build toward these principles in our workplace? This poster will highlight counseling theories, skills and implementation examples to provide a framework for library leadership in developing a trauma informed approach to organizational development.
