Hao-Ren Ke is a distinguished professor and the Associate ChairPerson of Graduate Institute of Library and Information Studies at National Taiwan Normal University, in Taiwan, R.O.C. From 2013 to 2022, he held the position of University Librarian at NTNU. In addition to his academic roles, he has served as the President of the Interlibrary Cooperation Association (ILCA), the Library Association of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the Chinese Association of Library and Information Science Education (CALISE).
Hao-Ren Ke's research interests include library performance measurement, digital library/archives, library and information systems, information retrieval, and digital humanities. He has utilized his technical expertise to support the advancement of digital libraries in Taiwan, such as establishing mirror sites for significant A&I databases including SCI/SSCI and Ei Compendex in the late 1990s. He has also developed the Interlibrary Loan Networking System for Taiwanese Libraries, which has greatly expedited the interlibrary loan process in Taiwan. Furthermore, he has played a crucial technical and professional role in the operation of CONCERT, the largest academic and research library consortium in Taiwan.
Hao-Ren Ke has been actively involved in TELDAP for almost a decade. His team has created digital museum websites that focus on Taiwanese Native artists.
