COMPUTER SCIENCE EDUCATION MANAGER (K-5)

Melissa Hannon is a computer science education manager with New York City Public Schools. She is a certified school librarian who found seemless commonality between computer and information science during her experience as an elementary school library teacher in a Brooklyn public school from 2015-2022. She is currently working on developing a compuer science / library information science integrated curriculum for grades K-5 in her new role at the office of student pathways. She also trains teachers during professional learning sessions to bring computer science instruction into various specialized cirrucula at the elementary level.
