Tina Griffin, MLIS, is an Assistant Professor and the library liaison to the College of Pharmacy and to College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). She has been at UIC for nine years supporting student education outcomes and research goals at all lifecycle stages.
Leveraging her background in basic science, she educates on data management, chemical and drug information resources, scholarly communication and publishing, citation management, and advanced search skills through curriculum embedded instruction and workshops. She also provides individual and small group consultation on these and other advanced information literacy topics. Her specialty is in research data management process improvement on an individual and laboratory level.
Her research interests include data management implementation and the intersection between library resources and biological and health informatics. She has a strong interdisciplinary record of collaboration with both of her liaison colleges, partnering on scholarly products like systematic and scoping reviews.
