During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT) used an automated heat-sensing machine to check patrons' forehead temperatures and whether they were wearing a mask at the entrance of its Poding Memorial Library to achieve effective control of the outbreak. CYUT is the first university in Taiwan to adopt OCLC's WorldShare Management Services (WMS), an advanced, cloud-based library services platform to enhance the workflows and greater data security, enabling them to better manage the Library's collections; while providing an open API to integrate the campus management system and peripheral systems to increase the convenience of library services to patrons; the system continues to collect international academic open access materials to enrich resources and enable patrons to better access the library's collections and the world's knowledge. Moreover, patrons can use the cloud printing service on the Smart Printer or enjoy a cup of coffee at the Library's AI Coffee Machine and pay via mobile payment to Increase overall satisfaction.
