Constance Malpas is Director of Strategic Programs at OCLC, leading initiatives that integrate product development, community-facing research, and business development. She has worked with OCLC since 2006, first supporting the Research Library Partnership and later moving into the role of Research Scientist, leading a program of work examining emerging 'group-scale' operations in academic libraries, including collective collections and shared print management. In 2016, Constance moved into a newly-created role spanning research, business development, and product strategy, and is now part of OCLC's global product management team. Her recent publications include: Operationalizing the BIG Collective Collection: A Case Study of Consolidation vs Autonomy (2019); University Futures, Library Futures: Aligning Library Strategies with Institutional Directions (2018); and Convenience and Compliance: Case Studies on Persistent Identifiers in European Research Information Management (2017). Constance is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Princeton University and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
