After a decade of service in academic, public, and school tribal-rural libraries in northeastern Oklahoma, Heather D. Hutto earned her MSLS from the University of North Texas to address LIS vulnerabilities she recognized in her region. In her current role as a public library director, she tries to bridge Oklahoma's sizable digital inclusivity gaps as well as foster awareness about communities' understanding of libraries' roles in society, and intersecting issues.
