Sharon Thompson is the Technology Training Coordinator at San Jose State University's (SJSU) Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library. Thompson coordinates digital literacy efforts for the over 30,000 SJSU students served by the King Library, along with overseeing the Library's prototyping lab, peer tutoring services, and quantitative research assistance. Additionally, she provides work lead directions to the Adobe Trainer & Instructional Designer. Thompson actively participates as a member of the Anti-Racism Advocacy and Assessment Committee at SJSU with the aim of advancing anti-racism and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEIA) within the university library. Thompson has presented on digital literacy ecosystems in academic libraries, the virtualization of makerspaces and prototyping in response to COVID-19, and is currently focusing on integrating digital career skills into SJSU curriculum.
