Kristin Fontichiaro is a clinical professor at the University of Michigan School of Information. An award-winning educator, he has taught students across K-12 and at the graduate level. A former elementary school librarian, her previous IMLS-funded work includes work on community-responsive makerspaces and the integration of data literacy skills and strategies into libraries' information literacy work. She coordinates the world's largest certificate program in public library management on the Edx.org platform, coordinates multiple public library leadership initiatives, and has worked with academic librarians and data scientists on developing data communication skills and tools. Additionally, she is a prolific and multiple award-winning author for children and librarians. Her most recent books include Creating Data Literate Students; Data Literacy in the Real World: Conversations and Case Studies; and Making in School and Public Libraries.
