San Jose State University
Adriana Poo has served as the Health Sciences Librarian at SJSU for twelve years. In addition, she serves as the Co-Coordinator of the Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) Program, a commendable initiative aimed at reducing textbook costs for all students. Her contributions extend beyond her primary responsibilities. She has been co-chair of the Anti-Racism Advocacy and Assessment Committee at the SJSU King Library for the past two years, demonstrating her commitment to promoting anti-racism and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEIA) within the university library. In addition, her research and scholarly pursuits have expanded to include a variety of significant topics. Initially focused on textbook affordability and the significant role of student ambassadors within the AL$ Program, Mrs. Poo's expertise has expanded to encompass Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within libraries, particularly in the library hiring process and in addressing the needs of international students and historically marginalized student cohorts.
