Mastura Muhamad is Director of the Selangor Public Library Corporation, Malaysia, and affiliated with the Malaysian Librarian Association (Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia― PPM) and Council of State Public Library Directors, Malaysia (Majlis Pengarah-Pengarah Perpustakaan Awam Se-Malaysia―MPAM).
A former general manager of YPM Trading & Marketing Sdn. Bhd., she was in 2008 appointed library director by the Selangor State Government.
Mastura was born in Kuala Terengganu (Malaysia), graduated from University of Kansas, and holds a first degree in Economics. Married to an architect, she is blessed with three daughters and a son.
Leading the transformation of the Selangor Public Library with her rebranding strategy, the number of Raja Tun Uda Library, Shah Alam users increased from 418,802 in 2008-2010 to 1,550,435 in 2011-2013, then to 2,420,587 in 2014-2016, and then to 2,927,589 in 2017-2019. Under her management, Selangor Public Library has expanded to 104 libraries throughout the state including 8 mobile libraries with the rebranding concept.
