Michelle Randall holds a PhD in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Cognitive Science applied to Education. She has taught both at the preschool and university level, including classes on a variety of topics in child developmental psychology, and she is especially interested in how children learn, the tools they use for learning, and the socio-cultural influences on learning. At the Bay Area Discovery Museum, Michelle is responsible for leading the museum’s evaluation work to support data-driven decision making around educational programming and other museum initiatives. Michelle also creates and leads professional development trainings for staff and external clients, including teachers and librarians. Michelle was responsible for leading the three year IMLS Grant disseminating the Reimagining School Readiness Research and Toolkit.
