Assistant Director, Selection
BookOps - The New York Public Library & Brooklyn Public Library
Stephanie Anderson is Assistant Director, Selection for BookOps, managing the team that selects and orders all material for the 150 branches of the New York Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library as well as the digital collections of both systems. Prior to BookOps, she was Assistant Director of Public Services for Darien Library (CT). In addition to her library work, she reviews for Kirkus, serves on the Brooklyn Book Festival's Fiction Committee, LibraryReads Advisory Council, and the Restless Books Advisory Committee. She holds a MLIS from Syracuse University, and devotes her research time to the history of readers' advisory and collection development in US public libraries.
