Buenaventura (Ven) B. Basco (he/him/his)

Librarian
University of Central Florida

Ven Basco is the Interim Head of Research and Information Services at the University of Central Florida Libraries. He also serves as the Engineering Librarian, providing research assistance, library instruction, and collection development for the College of Engineering and Computer Science. His interest and involvement with international aspects of libraries is extensive. He has served on ALA's International Relations Committee, ALA's International Relations Roundtable committees, and currently chairs the IRC's Asia & Oceania Subcommittee. He also served as the Executive Director of APALA: Asian Pacific American Librarians Association, 2012-2019.
