Peggy Tahir is a Research and Copyright Librarian at the UCSF Library, University of California San Francisco. She promotes best practices in copyright on campus, provides research consultations, reference services, systematic review support, and teaches database searching and information management skills to learners. She is the library liaison to the Schools of Dentistry and Pharmacy, and to the UCSF-UC Hastings (UC Law San Francisco) joint Master's program in Health Policy & Law. She works with graduate students in the health sciences, post-doctoral researchers, faculty, and staff, supporting the educational and research enterprises at the University. She enjoys working with and assisting teams conducting projects connected to equity, inclusion, and outreach efforts to vulnerable populations. Recent projects have inluded anti-bias efforts in U.S. maternity care, psychiatric emergency services for transgender health, health impacts of Latinx caregiver deportation, vaccine hesitancy among minority groups, and using computer simulation to teach DEI skills.
