The poster will help staff to learn how to prepare, implement, and set up their branch for a career/job fair. We will also discuss outreach, marketing and creating displays to highlight job search branch collections and programs. The first step is selecting a date for the event at least 3-5 months in advance to promote to patrons and begin reaching out to community partners. The impact will be learning to host career/job fair while creating a networking event for the community and organizations participating. Since the beginning of the pandemic the job market has expanded to virtual and hybrid employment which has increased employee satisfaction. We want to have a variety of opportunities to provide options to the community. The “How to host a job fair at your local library” poster will provide step by step guidance on creating partnerships with community organizations such as schools, shelters, and community boards to bring patrons back to the branches.
