Living Knowledge: Case studies of how the British Library uses innovative local, national and international partnerships to increase its impact (Poster 15)
Head of Public Libraries & Community Engagment The British Library
The British Library celebrates its 50th anniversary as the National Library of the UK in 2023 and will launch its new strategy this summer. This poster presentation will provide up to date case studies of how local, national and international partnerships are vital to our growth and impact.
The poster will illustrate examples of our community partnerships in London and Leeds (supporting major capital development projects), our UK-wide partnerships with 30 public library networks (known as the Living Knowledge Network) and the successful International Library Leaders Programme, where global library leaders spend a week alongside British Library colleagues to exchange knowledge and ideas.
The poster will share examples of partnership development at local, national and international level. We will demonstrate how we have worked with wide-ranging and cross-sectoral partners to gain new insights, reach new and diverse audiences at scale and gain insight into a wider range of lived experiences through trusted relationships. We will also share examples of how these approaches have fundamentally changed our ways of working and how these new partnerships underpin our strategic vision to 2030.
