Critical Data Studies: Intersections with the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education and Opportunities for Enriching Information Literacy Instruction (Poster 42)

There are many parallels between the views of “information” and “data” promoted by the emerging field of critical data studies and by instruction librarians who teach critical information literacy, but very few librarians are aware of critical data studies. This poster will seek to fill that gap by introducing core concepts from the field of critical data studies as they relate to the information literacy concepts presented in Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.
