On June 22, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court repealed Roe v. Wade. This ended a nearly 50-year precedent that made abortion legal (but not necessarily accessible) throughout the country. In this session, we will discuss the current state of abortion, introduce the Reproductive Justice framework, and explore how this relates to information access in libraries. Please bring something to take notes as we will have periodic moments throughout the session to reflect and share ideas with others.
Learning Objectives:
Explain the current landscape of abortion information in the United States
Describe the Reproductive Justice framework and how it relates to information access
Apply these concepts to the library professional standards
