As Digital Public Library of America approaches its 10th anniversary, join executive director John Bracken, DPLA board chair Felton Thomas and the DPLA Board of Directors for an Open Board + Community Meeting. The meeting will include updates on DPLA’s major projects, including our national Hubs network, our Wikimedia work expanding access to and discoverability of cultural heritage collections, and our efforts to build flexible ebook licensing models through Palace Marketplace, part of The Palace Project, as well as a look ahead at how DPLA is preparing to meet the challenges of the next 10 years.
Learning Objectives:
Understand DPLA's national Hubs network and how it is working toward greater sustainability
Understand DPLA's Wikimedia work and identify how participation is helping libraries of all sizes to increase visibility and use of their collections
Identify ways in which The Palace Project is helping libraries to expand access for patrons
