In a 2022 press release, the American Library Association affirmed its commitment to freedom of access to information about reproductive health stating: "We stand firm in opposing any effort to suppress access to information about reproductive health, including abortion." Many states have drafted and enacted laws to prevent accessing information about abortion and other reproductive health care. Attendees will learn how these laws turn libraries into targets, what legal protections are available for libraries and library workers, and proactive steps libraries can take to protect the privacy and intellectual freedom of their patrons.

Explain the threats to intellectual freedom and privacy from state laws restricting access to reproductive health information
Advocate for strong library policies to preserve patron's privacy and freedom to access information
